Mile Zero
In Wilmington, Delaware, in the year 2265, the Holloway family is barely holding on to Mile Zero Court, a weather-beaten apartment complex surrounded by a towering future that has left them behind. Between unpaid mortgages, a struggling grocery store, and the grief of losing their mother, survival already demands everything they have.
Then a thirteenth apartment appears overnight in the middle of the courtyard.
Its tenant, Rose, insists she has always lived there. The neighbors remember her. The city records begin to agree.
Only the Holloways remember the empty space.
As extreme storms gather over Wilmington and reality quietly rewrites itself around Unit Zero, one working-class family must uncover where their new neighbors came from and why time chose their home as its doorway.
Meet the Neighborhood
Meet the residents of Mile Zero Court, a close-knit working-class community where everyone knows who needs help, who owes rent, and whose dinner smells best through an open window. At its heart is the Holloway family: widowed father Cal and his children, Mase, Eli, and June, who run Mile Zero Mart while struggling to keep their home afloat. Nearby, Mrs. Alvarez of Unit 11 watches over the courtyard with the warmth, authority, and sharp instincts of a grandmother to nearly everyone who lives there.
